About Science on Stage
Science on Stage (SonS) Europe is a European initiative to encourage science teachers to share best practice in science teaching. A key focus of SonS is the hosting of biennial teacher festivals to showcase innovative teaching ideas. Follow up activities focus on sharing, developing and sustaining the inspiration gained at the festival. Science on Stage Ireland has coordinated the selection and training of an Irish delegation to the festivals since 2005 and is actively involved in public engagement in science at national science teachers’ conferences and events.
Science on Stage Ireland is organised by CASTeL at Dublin City University. The programme gratefully acknowledges support from the Institute of Physics in Ireland (2001-2019) and Science Foundation Ireland Discover Programme (2015-2019).
